Chaplaincy & Wellbeing
Pilgrim School is grateful to receive funding through the Commonwealth Government's National School Chaplaincy Program, which supports the ongoing work of our dedicated wellbeing team.
Staff Achievements
- Andrew Harris was nominated for an ASTA (Australian Science Teachers Association) Teacher Award for outstanding contributions to science education.
- Derek Bawden (Maintenance) was awarded 2025 Surf Life Saver of the Year at the Surf Life Saving SA Awards of Excellence.
- Libby Spencer presented at the AISSA training day for new career teachers on Working with AI/Technology in the Primary Setting. It is fantastic to see our staff contributing beyond the school

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Staff
Pilgrim School currently has no staff members who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Teacher Standards and Qualifications
All teachers at Pilgrim School are registered with the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia.
Pilgrim teaching staff are a highly experienced and qualified team and between them hold:

Many teaching staff (10) hold multiple qualifications, reflecting our team's commitment to ongoing professional growth.
All staff have current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) and Protective Practices training. Staff are also trained on a yearly cycle in First Aid and other health matters.
Our staff team have continued to professionally develop and grow in a range of professional learning activities during the year. Some of these are completed as an entire staff team or the teaching team and others are accessed by individuals or a small group of staff.
