Waste-Free Wednesday Student Actions!

As part of last week’s Permaculture lessons, our students explored the importance of reducing waste at school and how our choices are connected to the health of Western Port Bay. They reflected on the impact they can make and came up with their own creative actions for Waste-Free Wednesday. Here are just a few of their fantastic ideas!

Emily K - When I go for a walk at the foreshore or in my street when I see rubbish I will pick it up and put it in the bin.

Evie B - I will bring containers instead of wrappers. Pick up rubbish I see in the school yard and encourage my class to bring less wrappers.

Louis - I will pick up rubbish when I see it in the yard. Make sure to put my rubbish in the bin and I will sit under the shade sails when eating then play.

Zach D - I will put my rubbish from canteen in the bin and pick up rubbish when I see it.
