Nature. Be in it. - July Holiday Program.

Winter has arrived, bringing crisp air, misty mornings, muddy puddles, and endless opportunities for adventure. While many retreat indoors during the colder months, we know that winter is one of the most magical times for children to be outside - building resilience, boosting their wellbeing, and discovering the wonders that can only be found in nature at this time of year.

These July school holidays, children will embrace the season through hands-on outdoor adventures, learning the ancient skill of fire lighting with flint and steel, gathering around the warmth of a campfire, enjoying hot chocolate and damper, and discovering some fascinating fungi along the way.

Parliament of Tasmania - School Holiday Family Day

Parliament House is open for a Family Day during the Term 2 school holidays, on Wednesday 15 July.

Peek behind the sandstone walls and get a kid's eye view of what Parliament is all about. Come on a guided tour of the building, learn about the symbols and traditions of our Parliament, create your own "Premier's Portrait" and add your leaf to the Parliament-Tree.

This event is free but bookings are essential. It is suitable for young people aged 5 - 12 and their carers. Adults must stay with their children for the event.
