Excitement is high in Kinder on a Friday afternoon when we put on our puddlesuits and head over the road to explore the Lambert Rivulet! We dig in the clay, build fairy houses, find kookaburras in the trees, watch leaves float along the water, listen to the sounds of nature and always get very wet socks!

First Nations Primary Excursion

On Tuesday this week, despite the wintery weather, we headed to the Sustainability Centre at Mount Nelson for an on country First Nations excursion.

A number of students from Kinder to Year 6 all very excitedly partcipated in a program looking at the importance of sustainability through the lens of caring and connecting to country and culture. Our Aboriginal educator, Karen was amazing and really helped the girls connect to their culture and deepen their understanding and appreciation for ancient knowledge and how the land was managed sustainably in the past.  The girls made a key ring using the colours of black, red and yellow.  They also told a story personal to them through paint.  It was a fabulous day.
