Living Justice Living Peace
Refugee Week Luncheon
As part of Refugee Week, we were proud to partner with our Hands on Learning Cafe students to host a special luncheon aimed at raising awareness of the experiences and challenges faced by refugees and asylum seekers around the world.
The event provided an opportunity for our school community to come together in solidarity, reflect on the plight of millions of displaced people worldwide, and celebrate the values of justice, hospitality and inclusion. The luncheon was a wonderful success and highlighted the importance of supporting those who have been forced to flee their homes in search of safety and a better future.
We would like to sincerely thank the Brigidine Campus Student Leaders for their assistance in preparing, serving and attending the luncheon. Their enthusiasm and commitment helped make the event such a meaningful occasion. We also extend our gratitude to the many staff members who attended and generously supported the initiative. Funds raised from the luncheon will be donated to the Brigidine Asylum Seeker Project, which provides practical support and advocacy for people seeking asylum in Australia.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a success and for helping us put our faith into action.
