Student Well-being

Hi everyone and welcome to the end of another week.  We can see the light at the end of the tunnel 😊

Over time, Maggie Dent has been featured in our newsletters due to her array of knowledge and experience and for being given the title as the ‘Queen of common sense.’

The acknowledgement given to Maggie stems from being a highly respected Australian parenting author, educator, and podcaster. With a deep focus on the early years and adolescence, she has earned recognition as a leading advocate for boys and their unique developmental needs. Maggie's extensive experience spans teaching, counselling, and working in palliative care and suicide prevention, equipping her with a wealth of knowledge about emotional well-being and resilience.

A vocal proponent of healthy, common-sense parenting, Maggie aims to empower families and strengthen communities through her insights. As the host of "The Good Enough Dad" podcast and the award-winning ABC podcast "Parental as Anything," she engages parents on important topics related to child-rearing. During 2025, she will be featured in the ABC TV series "The Role of a Lifetime," which addresses the challenges of raising modern tweens and teens. Something to watch out for!

Maggie has authored ten major books and created numerous e-books and resources designed for parents, adolescents, and educators. Her approachable style and practical advice serve to enlighten and inspire anyone interested in improving their parenting journey and fostering positive relationships with children. With Maggie Dent, parents can find a comforting, practical guide in their parenting endeavours.
