Principal Team Report
Creating Futures Together
As we move through the final weeks of Term 2, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the many wonderful experiences and achievements that have defined this term, and to keep our community informed of the important milestones ahead.
We begin by celebrating the outstanding participation of our students in both inter-school sport competitions and the Division Cross Country event. The enthusiasm, commitment, and sportsmanship on display throughout these competitions has been a real source of pride for our College community. A sincere thank you to all of the staff who supported students in their preparation and on the day — your dedication is greatly appreciated.
Earlier in the term, a group of our student leaders attended the Student Leadership Conference, where they had the opportunity to connect with peers from other schools, build on their leadership skills, and explore what it means to lead with purpose and integrity. We are proud of each student who represented our College so capably at this event.
Across a number of year levels, subject learning area presentations have taken place throughout the term, providing valuable insight into the curriculum pathways available to them. These sessions play an important role in helping students begin thinking carefully about their future directions, and we thank our teaching staff across all faculties for their thoughtful preparation and delivery.
Congratulations also to our Year 10 and Year 11 students who have recently completed their mid-year examination period. Sitting formal assessments is a significant and valuable experience — one that develops the study habits, time management, and resilience that will serve students well in the years ahead. We are proud of the focused and mature approach our students brought to this period. Students will have the opportunity to reflect on their results through upcoming 1-on-1 Learning Conversations with their teachers.
Looking ahead, the General Achievement Test (GAT) will take place on Tuesday 16 June for all relevant students. The GAT is an important component of the VCE assessment process, and we encourage students to approach it with confidence. Further details regarding arrangements for the day will be communicated to relevant students and families directly.
Families are also reminded that subject selections for 2027 will formally open at the beginning of Term 3. This is an exciting milestone for students as they begin to shape their future learning pathways. We encourage families to reflect on the information shared through recent subject presentations ahead of this time. The 2027 Middle and Senior School Handbooks will be published on the College website and will contain detailed information to support informed decision-making. Further communication regarding the online submission process will be shared with the community in the coming weeks.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our students and our College community. We look forward to a strong finish to the term and to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for Term 3.
