Our students made Raspberry and White Chocolate Blondies in their groups. I am so impressed by how well they worked in their team, reading through the recipe, getting all of their ingredients ready prior, preparing the cake tin, making the mixture, sharing and checking in with their group as to where extra assistance is needed and cooking the Raspberry Blondies to perfection. Students sampled their work before cutting and freezing, ready for our end of Term 2 Community Lunch.
Our Senior group wrote a reflection of their Shared Lunch experience giving feedback on what worked, what we might do differently and future projections. A worthwhile process and a fantastic way for students to acknowledge their own efforts for themselves in the lead up to and their experience on the day.
The Junior group made chocolate balls using Marie biscuits, condensed milk, desiccated coconut and cocoa powder. All worked extremely well in their teams taking turns to smash the biscuits and mix ingredients together. The main challenge was having the balls be of similar size. Well done Juniors on an awesome team effort!
