Mother's Day Morning celebration

Due to a number of factors, we’ve had to make some changes to our usual Mother's Day Morning celebration this year. 

With the Primary Division Cross Country now taking place on Friday 9th May (with many Year 3–6 students participating), along with ongoing building works and heavy traffic around McIntyre Street and the hall, we are unable to hold the event as originally planned.

We attempted to move the event to Thursday 8th May, but this too created scheduling conflicts with other pre-booked activities and incursions in the MPH. 

As a result, we’ve made some adjustments to how we’ll celebrate this year:

Mother's Day Morning – Thursday 8th May - 

💞 From 8:20am – Coffee, tea, and pastries will be available outside the canteen. This is a great time for our secondary students to enjoy a moment with their mums or special guests.

💞 From 8:55am – Mums and special people are invited to visit the primary classrooms. You're welcome to move between classrooms or bring all of your children to one. Each room will have special activities for families to enjoy together.

💞 At 9:40am – All classes will watch the beloved St Mary’s Foundation video in their classrooms. Following the video – Everyone will gather on the PLC verandah for a performance by the choir and the raffle draw. All primary and secondary families will be entered into the raffle – no tickets or payment required.

We truly appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we navigate the logistics this year. It was simply not feasible to hold the event in the hall given the current constraints.

We look forward to bringing back our full Mother’s Day Musical Morning next year!
