Interschool debating

Glenroy college was proudly represented by Salma and Su'ad Salim, Mariam Yonis, Benny Nguyen and Muhammad Ahmad Asif at the recent interschool debating competition on 8 September 2025. 

While we didn’t take home the win, the judges were really impressed with how much we’ve improved. They highlighted our clearer arguments, emphasis on points, and the confidence we showed when speaking.

Even more important than the result was the teamwork, preparation (Salma did a brilliant job preparing the arguments and rebuttals for their allocated topic), encouragement, and resilience we showed on the day. 

We left with great feedback that will help us get even better in future debates. Well done to everyone—you should be proud of your effort and growth!
