A letter from Mr Andrew Arney
As usual, 3rd term has been huge at Glenroy. We celebrated our theme of ‘Different, Together’ by highlighting that by accepting our differences we become stronger as a community. This year we added Neurodiversity week - a week to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions about neurodevelopmental conditions like autism and ADHD, which was a great success.
We announced our inaugural AFL academy which will start in 2026 to great excitement.
We saw excursions including our annual Snow SWPBS reward trip, days exploring inquiry and advanced technology at the Science Centre of Excellence at Melbourne Uni, the Merribek-Bek innovators forums, and of course the chances for our students to show their sporting prowess through interschool sport.
We brought the community together through the Maths and Digitech Olympics, the ‘Made in Glenroy’ Arts and Technology Festival, the VCEVM expo and the event of the year - the senior Formal
And of course, there was the growth and learning that we saw in every class, every day.
I have the privilege of experiencing so many moments of pride as Principal of Glenroy, and this term really has been one out of the box.
Thanks to our families, the extraordinary staff of the college and our brilliant young people for such a vibrant and exciting term.
See you after the well deserved two week break!
