Congratulations to everyone who has completed the Swimming program. It was fantastic to see everyone grow in their confidence and skills over the four weeks. Thank you to those who came to watch and help support us after jumping out of the pool.
In the classroom, we have been learning about fractions in Maths, more poetry including rhyming colour poems in Writing, and more non fiction skills in Reading.
We have practised making fractions with yarn and mini pegs, noticing how the bigger the denominator, the smaller the actual fraction. We have recognised and represented fractions in shapes, and made fraction art with pixels.
In Writing, we put our rhyming skills to the test to make rhyming colour poems. They turned our fabulous! We have used Canva to present our poetry, and are proud of these skills too.
We have learnt about inferring in Reading, and how we can get extra information from a photo in non fiction texts. This week we have looked at diagrams, graphs and photos, and how the labels are helpful to point out extra details and information.
Thank you for all your support this semester. We have had a great start to the year, full of fun and hard work. Have a lovely and relaxing holiday!
