📚 What's Been Happening in the Library?

The St Mary’s College Library has been buzzing this term! Our Library is not just a quiet place to study (although we love that too) - it’s also been a friendly space where students hang out at lunchtime, playing board games and with our toys with their friends, colouring, making all sorts of flying things (thanks to Mr Allen), chilling and chatting, and even just reading newspapers, magazines and books.

📚 Books, Stories, and Special Events We’ve had a jam-packed term with themed activities and Storytimes. We observed ANZAC Day with reflective book readings and displays, and celebrated Mother's Day with some gorgeous stories and card-making. And just last week, we were among 2,204,65 participants (that’s right, over 2 million!), in 16,632 locations across Australia, New Zealand and our Pacific Region, who joined in the National Simultaneous Storytime. We all sat down together to read The Truck Cat by Deborah Frenkel and Danny Snell—it was such a fun moment of shared storytelling and activities! This is a great story about finding ‘home’ through friendship, shared stories, memories, smells, tastes and love.

📚 New Reads and Fun Times There’s always something new on our shelves - whether you love fast-paced adventure, fantasy worlds, laugh-out-loud humour, or fascinating facts, we’ve got a book for you. Check out our ‘New Arrivals’ display and see what grabs your attention.

📚 Need a Hand? Whether you’re stuck on research, need help with referencing, or want to polish up your study skills, the library team is here to help. Just come up and ask—we’re always happy to chat.

📚 See You in the Library! Whether you’re here to study, read, relax, or play, the library is your space. Come say hi and make the most of everything on offer!

📚 P.S. How you help our Library? Remember to encourage your kids to read and share their reading with you and PLEASE, help them to find and return their books on time!
