Student Ministry

Knitting Club
St Norbert College Knitting Club will be knitting or crocheting beanies, scarves and blankets for the homeless in Perth. If you would like to knit or crochet some of these for us to donate, please call Margaret Kyd on 93505433 for details. All efforts are appreciated.
We are also always after donations of wool. If you have some to spare, please send it in to us.
Winter Appeal
Student Ministry is collecting donations of non-perishable food items such as cans of soup, pasta, rice, tea, coffee and long-life milk and winter clothing and bedding for our Winter Appeal to assist the Shopfront and the Vinnies to meet the needs of their clients. If you are cleaning out cupboards over the next few weeks jackets, beanies, scarves, warm tracksuit pants and jeans are especially needed for those who sleep rough.
Donations can be dropped into the Student Ministry.
Kimberley Immersion Collection
This week we will begin collecting donations for our Immersion from our College and wider community.
Donations include the following:
Good used clothing – especially summer clothing for all ages and sizes.
Baby clothes and blankets – good used condition.
Blankets - for people who sleep rough.
Underwear all sizes – brand new.
Toiletries – especially sanitary pads, soap, combs, toothbrushes and toothpaste and hotel sized sample toiletries.
Shoes – especially slip on shoes and sports shoes – all sizes and in good used condition.
Black thongs – available from Kmart for $1.50.
All of these donations will be trucked up to the Kimberley, with donations being dropped off in Broome, Halls Creek and Kununurra. From these towns, some donations will be given to other Remote Area Op Shops.
I have space to store donations, so please bring them in when you can.
