Garden Update – Spring is Sprouting!
It’s been a busy and exciting fortnight in the garden! We’ve been harvesting our cold-season crops like broccoli and carrots, while also preparing for the warmer months ahead.
This year, our Grade 5 students have taken the lead in selecting the summer crops for our new wicking beds. They've carefully sown their chosen seeds, and our greenhouse is now bursting with trays of seedlings eagerly waiting to germinate. Keep an eye out at upcoming Mini Markets—you won’t want to miss the chance to grab some of these student-grown seedlings!
There’s a great mix of fun and familiar crops, including miniature pumpkins, tromboncino zucchini, onions, and cucumbers. It’s been a joy to see the first green shoots pushing through the soil and soaking up the early spring sunshine. We’re looking forward to a productive growing season ahead!
Happy gardening!
