Mother's Day Celebration

Thank you to all the wonderful mothers who joined us for our Tarneit Mother’s Day Breakfast! A special shoutout to the students who shared their talents through performances, interviews, prayer, and poetry. We also extend our gratitude to Senior Constable Julie Woods and Senior Constable Grace Buckley from Victoria Police for joining us as guest speakers and sharing their inspirational stories as mothers within our community.

Student's Mother's Day Poem:

A Mother’s Love

By Prisha Nayak & Gracy Singh

You sacrificed so much, raised me up with gentle hands,

Through every storm and trial, you helped me understand.

Your strength was quiet, steady—like roots beneath a tree,

You gave your all, your heart, your soul, so endlessly for me.

No need for grand applause, no need for any while,

Your greatest joy was always fulfilled with just my smile.

In every laugh, in every tear, your love was shining bright,

A beacon in the darkest night, my ever-guiding light.

For all the times you stayed awake, for every whispered prayer,

For every hug that healed my fears, for simply being there—

I thank you, Mum, with all I am, with every breath I take,

Your love’s the gift I cherish most, no one could ever fake.

So on this day, I celebrate the heart that made me whole,

The woman who gave me her world, the keeper of my soul.

So here I am, with a trembling heart, trying to say what words can’t do—

Mum, I am who I am today because I was loved by you.
