3-4 Class

(Miss Sayhoune)

As the term draws to a close and we look ahead to the Easter break, it is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the rich learning experiences shared in our classroom. Over the past fortnight, students have been highly engaged in STEM investigations, exploring soil layers and experimenting with water filtration.

We are also nearing the end of our class novel Matilda, and students are excited to celebrate with a movie session to conclude the term. Throughout the term, we have focused on developing literacy skills, including suffixes, prefixes, homophones, and different sentence types.

In Mathematics, we have been learning to tell the time and read clocks, and will conclude the term by exploring multiplication and division.

In Social and Emotional Learning, students have been developing strategies to manage emotions using their “emotional toolbox,” with a particular emphasis on making positive choices when experiencing challenging moods.

Wishing all families a safe and happy Easter break. I look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for an exciting Term 2.
