F-2 Class

(Miss Moore)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far.

Everything has been running smoothly in our Foundation to Grade Two classroom, which is a real credit to the students. They have been showing great effort, positive attitudes towards their learning and a strong work ethic-well done to all of them!

In Mathematics, we have been focusing on:

  • Foundation: Continuing to develop number recognition to 6, as well as building subitising skills (instantly recognising quantities without counting, such as the dots on a dice).
  • Grade 1: Counting by 2s, 5s and 10s up to 120, ordering small sets of  two-digit numbers from smallest to largest and revising addition strategies.
  • Grade 2: Rounding to the nearest hundred, ordering small sets of three-digit numbers from smallest to largest and revising addition strategies.

In Integrated Studies, we have been learning about the seasons and have created some fantastic tree artwork to show how trees change throughout the different seasons.

A reminder to please book in for a Parent/Teacher meeting if you haven’t already. If the available times don’t suit please feel free to reach out-I’m more than happy to arrange an alternative time or a phone meeting.
