School Focus

Daily Review
Our teachers have been encorporating Daily Reviews into their classrooms, using whiteboards and choral responses for students to demonstrate their understanding. Daily Reviews are an important learning strategy for students, as it assists in long term memory formation of new skills and knowledge. It is also a powerful feedback tool for teachers so they can be responsive with teaching to the point of need of students.
Daily Reviews generally take about 20 minutes, and students will come across content they have learnt previously. Some questions will focus on what was learnt in the previous few lessons, and other questions will be on content that was learnt earlier in the term.
Did you know that after 1 hour of learning something new, up to 50% of that information can be forgotten?
