School Council Update - Fundraising

Hello CHPS community

The School Council met on Wednesday 18 March and I wanted to share with you some of the discussion around planned fundraising activities for 2026.

Firstly, on behalf of the School Council can I say a big thank you to the entire CHPS community for your contributions, time and effort towards our fundraising last year. The fair was a particular highlight thanks to the fair committee and all the volunteers, contributors and supporters. The money raised from the fair and our other activities last year went towards critical maintenance and restoration works in our heritage building including planned asbestos removal, painting and carpeting. The School Council has committed to continuing this work this year.

As you'll no doubt be aware we've kicked off the fundraising calendar with the School Colour Run. We're also bringing back the Comedy night in May, the trivia night and the fair later in the year. There will be a raffle this year and after the enormous success of the democracy sausage sizzle and cake stall , we will also run a sausage sizzle/cake stall at CHPS on the Victorian State Election day.

Please look out for notices and reminders in the newsletter and on compass for these activities and advice on how to get involved!
