Grade 5

In Reading, we have recently finished our novel study on War Horse. Students showed great engagement with the story and developed a strong understanding of the characters and themes. It has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm and thoughtful discussions throughout the unit.

In Writing, students have been continuing their persuasive pieces on whether horses should be used in war. They have been working hard to structure their arguments clearly and support their opinions with strong reasons and evidence. We are seeing great improvement in their ability to convince and engage the reader.

In Maths, we have been focusing on multiplication and division. Students have been developing their strategies and building confidence when solving a variety of problems. It has been great to see their persistence and growth in this area.

On Friday, we celebrated Harmony Day as a school community. Students proudly represented their cultures and took part in activities that celebrated diversity and inclusion. It was a fantastic day filled with respect, learning, and appreciation for one another.

A big congratulations to all students on completing NAPLAN. They approached the assessments with a positive attitude and gave their best effort, which is something to be very proud of.
