Grade 4

Harmony Day
We recently celebrated Harmony Day, with students proudly participating in our Harmony Day Parade. It was wonderful to see such a wide range of cultural dress on display, highlighting the diversity within our school community. Students also took part in classroom activities to explore the importance of Harmony Day, showing great respect and understanding towards one another.
Numeracy
In Numeracy, we have just completed our unit on time, with a focus on elapsed time and solving worded problems. Students worked hard to develop their problem-solving skills and apply their understanding in different contexts. We are now moving into a multiplication and division unit. To support their learning, we encourage students to continue practising their multiplication facts up to the 10 times tables at home.
Literacy
In Literacy, we have begun our second novel, Leo and Ralph. We are using the narrative themes from the book to support students in writing their own narrative texts. It has been fantastic to see how creative students are becoming as they plan and develop their story ideas.
