YEAR 11 KEY INFORMATION: WEEK 9

2027 Student Leadership Process

The 2027 Student Leadership process continued this week, with students applying for Portfolio positions taking part in their presentations and interviews. It was fantastic to see the preparation, confidence and enthusiasm each student brought to the process.

Our College Captain candidates also delivered their speeches to the Year 7, 10 and 11 cohorts. All candidates spoke exceptionally well, demonstrating confidence, maturity and a genuine desire to serve our College community. I was extremely proud of the way they represented themselves and embraced the opportunity to lead.

We look forward to the next stage of the leadership process as we move closer to announcing our 2027 Student Leadership Team.

2027 Senior Jersey and Senior Shirt

Orders for the 2027 Senior Jersey are now open. Parents and carers will receive an InForm with important ordering information, along with a How to Order guide outlining the process for ordering directly through the external supplier. Jersey orders must be placed by Friday 17 October.

Sample jerseys will be available for students to try on during Term 3, Weeks 9 and 10, and students are encouraged to check their sizing before placing an order.

Students will also have the opportunity to purchase a 2027 Senior Sport Shirt. This is separate from the Senior Jersey and will need to be ordered and paid for through the College Uniform Shop by 30 October. Sizing is the same as the regular College Sport or House shirt.

A Marathon in the Making

At our Year 11 Leadership Day earlier this year, students were introduced to the metaphor “A Marathon in the Making”, with Year 11 representing the training phase in preparation for the marathon of Year 12.

With only two weeks remaining in Term 3, this is an important time to stay focused and finish the term strongly. Just like preparing for a marathon, it is often when we are tired that consistency and perseverance matter most.

The work students put in now continues to build the habits they will need as they move closer to Year 12. Over the final two weeks, I encourage our Year 11 students to remain focused, stay on top of their learning and assessment, and continue making the most of their training phase.
