Year 8 Systems Technology

8A have been hard at work in the last week starting the designs for the Character which will include 2 LED’s from the circuit they will create before the end of term. Our students have been thinking about the size of their designs, LED placement and their own artistic abilities when choosing a design. We can’t wait to see what their final products looks like.

NASA Global Hackathon

Congratulations to Sophie Beltrame and Ritkriti Melam who won the People's Choice Award in the NASA Global Hackathon Apps Challenge during the school holidays, as part of the Melbourne Team.

The girls developed and coded a game about exoplanets, with different levels for different age groups.  Play the game here: https://exoodyssey.co/

We are very proud of the girls' participation and efforts. Another win for STEM programs at Wantirna College.
