Principal's News

Happy New Year to all our families who celebrated the Lunar New Year on Tuesday 17th February.
The term "Lunar New Year", as used in English, commonly refers to new year celebrations that are based on lunisolar calendars as well as to those based on true lunar calendars. These new year events are celebrated by billions of people across the world on the first new moon of their calendar.
Dear Families & Friends,
It is hard to believe that we have already come to the end of week 4 as it still feels like the year has just begun. I must share a very big thankyou to our amazing families who were able to attend our Welcome Family Night last Thursday and to all those who were ready to lend a hand to set up and pack up. This special evening has become an important tradition at Trinity as a way of welcoming our new familes and also to celebrate the great diversity that we have in our school community. I am sure that all those who were presernt would agree, the food was amazing and the company even better. A special thanks once again to Issey, (Hannah's Dad) who you may have noticed taking photos on the night. I have included below a few special memories captured by his skillful eye.
School Photos
A reminder that our school photos will be taken tomorrow and that all children should be dressed in academic school uniform. I trust that all parents have completed the permissions form via Nforma Parent Portal.
Year 3-6 Intensive Swimming Program
Next week our Yr 3-6 students will be taking part in the school swimming program. The program will take place at Richmond Recreation Centre with qualified swim instructors. All classes will walk with their class teacher to the pool which is a 10min walk down the road, take part in their lesson and then walk back. The intensive swimming program is an essential componemet of our Sport and PE curriculum and is a requirement of all schools to ensure children are able to gain important water safety skills. These skills can help to keep children safe when in and around water as well as provide them with excercise to further enhance their physical wellbeing. I hope that all parents have completed the swimming permission form through Nforma. Below is the timetable for each class.

Building Update
Whilst it may appear quiet on the building front, much has been happening behind the scenes with permits and planning etc and we finally have the presence of workers on site. The initial works will mainly be demolition of existing spaces as they prepare for the construction works. CHIPPA Builders are highly experienced when it comes to working with schools and we will work closely with them to mnimize disruption to our normal learning programs.
