A Symphony of Stories at Modbury P-6 📚🎶

What a wonderful celebration of Book Week we have had at Modbury P-6! This year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories,” has provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate the joy, imagination and wonder that books bring to our lives.

One of the highlights of our Book Week celebrations was, of course, our annual Book Week Parade! Our students absolutely shone as they proudly strutted their stuff along the catwalk, showcasing an incredible array of characters from their favourite books. From magical creatures and adventurous heroes to much-loved storybook characters, the creativity and enthusiasm on display were fantastic!

It was particularly special to see the pride on our students’ faces as they paraded in front of their classmates, teachers and families. We loved seeing so many parents and carers proudly watching and cheering their children on — those special moments of connection made the parade even more fabulous.

At Modbury P-6, we are incredibly proud to be a book-loving school. We know that stories open doors to new worlds, spark imagination, build language and help us connect with people, places and experiences beyond our own.

A huge thank you to our wonderful families for helping bring Book Week to life and for supporting a love of reading at home and at school. Most importantly, thank you to our students for embracing the magic of stories and reminding us all just how much fun reading can be!
