School Safety

Modbury School P-6 is included in the upcoming rollout of 40 km/h school safety precincts, scheduled to occur within the next two months.

Installation will be completed by the end of September 2026. The new 40 km/h speed limit will come into effect and be enforceable from the date the installation is completed.

When speed limits will apply:

The new 40 km/h time-based school speed limit will apply on school days when children are travelling to and from school during the following times:

• 8:00 am to 9:30 am

• 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

These times exclude weekends, public holidays, and school holidays. Speed limits will be enforceable from the date of installation completion at each site.
