Year 12 Jacket Presentation

Year 12 students received their Year 12 jackets this term in their jacket presentation. The jacket symbolises their entry into their final year of school and reflects their persistence and hardwork over the past 5 years. 

This year we also introduced the Maori concept of Whakapapa which we have focussed on students knowing who they are and where they have come from. We extend this further in the jacket presentation in the idea that each Year 12 cohort has their time to wear the jacket which represents the college and that we wish them to leave the school in a better position than when they started. 

The aim of this is to build a sense of connection and belonging with the school and each other as a sense of belonging is one of the most crucial aspects that has an impact on mental wellbeing. 

We look forward to an exciting and challenging year ahead for all the Year 12 students in 2025 and which them all the best for a successful year.
