Endeavour House News

We have been so spoilt recently with some outstanding summery weather and the Endeavour girls have really been taking the opportunity to get out and about as much as possible. True to form, the girls are always keen to keep busy with a variety of activities, including, but not limited to, singing, dancing, lying in hammocks, trips into the plaza and ALAC, repotting house plants, baking, fire pit fun, beach walks and swimming.

New Student Transitions and Welcomes

I am actually getting a little bit sad that Endeavour House is preparing to say goodbye to our Year Nine students, even though I know they’ll be just up on the Breaksea hill, and in very safe hands. Fortunately, I'm adequately distracted by preparations for our new students, who are joining us in 2024. We will have a sleepover, as part of our transition for incoming Year Seven students, Mr Ashley Keatch and I are busily making preparations to ensure this is an authentic and valuable experience, for those who will be new to our gorgeous boarding houses and community.

Birthdays

Happy Birthday to Mackirra Williams, Katelin Woithe and Poppy Ford, all having birthdays in October.

Katanning Show

The Registrar, Mrs Julia Bairstow and I represented GSG at the 132nd Katanning Agricultural Show on 27 & 28 October, where we set up an information stall. It was wonderful to catch up with many past, current and prospective families and students who took the time to have a chat with us while we were there. I was struck by the friendliness, talents and pride of the local community. Growing up in a small farming community myself, I am so grateful to have time to get out and about in the beautiful Great Southern.

Just four and a half weeks of school left for the year – hold on to your hats!

All the best for a safe and successful harvest, to all the hard-working farmers out there!
