St Roch’s Reading Challenge: We Did It!

We’re thrilled to announce that the 2025 St Roch’s Reading Challenge has officially come to a close and what an incredible achievement it’s been.

Thanks to the amazing efforts of our students, teachers, and families as we finished the challenge at the end of Term 3 with an incredible 2,861 books read across the school. That means we’ve surpassed last year’s total of 2,572 books and set a new school record!

We are so proud of every student who took part, showing that reading is not only important but also exciting, enjoyable, and something we can all do together.

Congratulations to Our Top Readers!

A huge congratulations to the following students who read the most books in their categories:

  • Olivia Le Raggatt (Prep ) – our top reader from Prep to Year 2
  • Richard Lang (Year 4) – our top reader from Year 3 to Year 6

What an amazing achievement from both of you! We hope you enjoy your special prize for all of your efforts.

Top Class Winners

Special congratulations go to:

  • Prep – our youngest readers who read more books than any other class in the school.
  • Year 4 (Mrs Hogan’s class) – the class who read the most books out of all the Year 3 to Year 6 classes.

Both Prep and Year 4 will get to choose a special class reward to celebrate their incredible efforts. Well done!

Thank you to everyone who took part in this year's challenge and helped us break our school record. We hope this event has inspired a love of reading that continues all year long.

Until next year... keep reading!
