Project Compassion
Thank you to everyone who supported Project Compassion over the past 6 weeks, to those who donated weekly, via cash and using the QR code.
Further donations came via the sausage sizzle arranged by Mr Chan and the Shibuya students, which was a great idea, and I thank him for overseeing this activity.
Today, we held the Casual Clothes Fundraiser, so we are hoping that we will reach our goal of $2000, which go directly to Caritas. Their work around the world is instrumental in supporting people in need. I hope you have enjoyed watching the short clips over the past 6 weeks, which tells the real stories of real people whose lives have been positively impacted by the programs implemented by Caritas.
Easter Raffle
Easter seems to have snuck up on us so quickly! Today we drew the winning tickets for the Easter raffle. We were fortunate to have been able to create 47 hampers. thanks to the generosity of the Year 7 students, (a big shout out to Chisholm Year 7's) the Vinnies and staff, who collectively donated chocolates, biscuits, Easter eggs, rabbits, soft toys, baskets, pet toys (for the pet hamper 🙂). Just a wonderful array of items, so a HUGE thank you to all these people who made this raffle happen!
The winners were announced at Recess - so a hearty congratulations to each of the winners!
The top 3 prizes were won by :
Levi Luong- Knox 2
Sophie Mckinlay-Knox 3
Ryan Chan- Knox 5
Clearly, Knox rocks!
There were many more happy winners who went home with their prizes anhampers 🙂
All proceeds of this raffle go towards supporting the SVDP tutoring Program, which operates at St Anthony's Primary school every Tuesday afternoon. As previously outlined, the money goes much needed supplies of books, stationery and incursions for the students at the end of the school year. They are always so very grateful for our support, both in the financial sense, as well as our students who volunteer to help out each week
Stay tuned for Term 2 activities.
