Junior School

Junior School has had a fantastic term, with students continuing to demonstrate the values of Empathy, Respect and Aspiration both in and out of the classroom. A particular highlight was our recent Year 7 Camp at Campaspe Downs Bush Camp in Tylden. Students embraced a range of adventure activities, challenged themselves to step outside their comfort zones, and showed impressive resilience and teamwork throughout the week. The camp also provided many opportunities for students to strengthen friendships and build connections with their peers. The evening activities were a great success, with the disco proving to be a clear favourite among students!

Throughout the term, our students have also participated in several important wellbeing initiatives. Dhelkaya Health delivered anti-vaping education sessions, helping students develop a greater understanding of the health impacts of vaping and strategies for making positive choices. Students also participated in the Project Rocket Upstander Program, which focused on building respectful relationships, encouraging students to stand up for others, and creating a positive and inclusive school culture.

As we move into Term 3, we thank Jane Dimsey for her work as Year Level Leader throughout Semester One and welcome Sharon Rossiter into the role. We look forward to Sharon supporting our Year 7 students as they continue their secondary school journey.
