Towards the end of last term, our Year 9 Outdoor Education students made the most of the beautiful autumn weather and took to the water, canoeing the lakes and exploring Eagle Point Bluff from a different angle. A great way to wrap up the term with exploration, challenge, and a connection to the great outdoors.

Our Year 9 Textiles students participated in the Paynesville CFA fashion show that was held 19th April at the Bairnsdale RSL. The Textiles students showcased garments that they have upcycled. The theme was Trash to Treasure with recycled material and clothing on show. This events aim was to raise funds for a new fire tanker.
Amy received first prize and Heidi received a second prize. Both these students were incredibly happy that they were prize winners, and they absolutely loved the experience.

Year 9 Humanities students took part in BSC’s ANZAC Ceremony, paying tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. Our College Captains shared moving speeches, highlighting the lasting values of service, mateship, and resilience that continue to influence our nation. Their reflections reinforced the importance of remembrance and appreciation.
Lest we forget.

The students made ANZAC apple pie for ANZAC day.

During the last week of Term 1, an exciting day of volleyball with 27 matches were played at the BARC, including teams from Swifts Creek, Mallacoota, Lakes Entrance, Nagle and BSC all taking to the court.
Congratulations to our Senior Mixed and Intermediate Girls teams, who were successful in progressing through to the regional level next term!
