As we wrap up another awesome term, welcome to the final edition ofĀ Taylor's Skool Skoopš¤
Ā
Last week, the Junior Room had the opportunity to visit the park as part of one of our Social and Emotional Learning lessons. It was wonderful to get out of the classroom, enjoy some fresh air, and have fun together. I know I certainly enjoyed spending some time on the swings!
Ā
A highlight in Room 2 last week was when the students and I were left to our own devices and decided it would be fun for me to draw everyone in the class as goofy cartoon characters. When Mrs Johns returned, the challenge was for her to guess who each drawing represented. To my surprise, she managed to identify almost every student correctly, with only a couple of mistakes, despite my questionable artistic skills!

This week in Room 2, Iāve had the opportunity to create some really impressive papercrafts with Julian. Although the tiny folds and intricate cuts were challenging at times, it was a fun and rewarding experience. Iāve also really enjoyed playing card games with the kids during the 10-minute mindfulness sessions after recess and lunch. Itās always such a great way to relax, connect, and wind down together.Ā
Ā
As we head into the holidays, I would like to thank all of our students and families for a fantastic term. I hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable break, and I look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for another great term ahead.
Ā
Looking forward to sharing the next skoop in Term 3 !!
Ā
Hello everyone!
Ā
Over the last few weeks, we've had some truly wonderful moments and achievements to celebrate.
Ā
A number of our students have saved up enough dominos to earn themselves a movie voucher, and what an effort it's been! A special shout-out goes to Owen, who holds the record for the highest number of dominos earned in one week, a massive 58! Ebby currently holds the title for the most dominos saved at one time, an incredible 120, before she cashed them in for her well-earned cinema voucher. Angus, Tom, Owen and Harley also scored themselves a voucher, with each of them saving over 100 dominos. What dedication! š

Ā
I've been in Room 2 this week, and boy, have I enjoyed it! I have absolutely loved watching our young people grow their knowledge and have those magical 'aha!' moments where everything finally clicks. Here are some of the highlights:
⨠Paisley and Willow with their sight words
āļø Jayden with his letter formation
š Karsyn and Rhett with their writing
š Indie with her sharing of her special textas
š¢ Nora and Greyson with their counting
š Molly with her reading
šØ Westin with his art projects
ā Jamieson with his addition

Ā
This is one of Jayden's letter formation sheets! These kids never cease to amaze me!
Ā
I've also heard whispers of the senior room doing some top-secret work. It was so secret, in fact, that I was ushered very quickly out of Room 1 when I tried to sneak a peek! I have a feeling it has something to do with next Thursday... š

Ā
And speaking of next Thursday, I have some sad news to share. This term will be my last here at Cowwarr. It was a very hard choice to make, and I am so sad to be leaving, but please know it came after a lot of thought (and quite a few tears). I will miss you all, staff, parents, and kiddos, immensely. I have loved my time here so, so much, and I'm so grateful for the memories and friendships I've made along the way.

Ā
But I know that once you're part of the Cowwarr TEAM, you're ALWAYS part of the TEAM. So you'll see me around, don't you worry! š
Ā
That's it from me. It's been an absolute pleasure keeping you all updated between the bells.
Ā
With love š, Miss Maddy signing out.
