Dear Parents and Caregivers
All Happening!
Our Wakakirri dancers were amazing last Tuesday evening at His Majesty's Theatre. Congratulations once again to all the staff, students and parents involved! Our Choir too, sounded great at the Performing Arts Festival last Wednesday. Well done to our talented singers! Congratulations to the students who had their artwork entered in the Angelico Exhibition at the Forrest Centre and particular mention to Madi in Year 6 for receiving the HSS Visual Arts Scholarship this year. Wishing Mr Navarro and the One Big Voice Choir all the best this Friday as they perform at the RAC Arena. We are very blessed with the Performing Arts opportunities our students are exposed to at St Helena's Catholic Primary School.
We celebrated a wonderful St Helena's Feast Day with Buddy activities, stalls and the celebration of Mass with Fr Bona on Monday 18 August. Thank you to all the staff who coordinated the day and to the parents who donated towards the stalls. The students and staff had a wonderful day, celebrating all that is St Helena's! Book Week was a blast last week as well, and there were some very impressive Book Week outfits parading around the school. I heard the students enjoyed the staff play too. Well done everyone!
Prayers for our Students Preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation
Keep in our prayers all the students at St Helena's and in our Parish who will this weekend receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. An exciting milestone on their faith journey!

Father's Day Breakfast and Liturgy
We are very excited for our Father's Day Breakfast and Liturgy coming up on Friday 5 September at 7:30am. All our fathers and father figures are welcome to come along. Hope to see you all there!
Learning Journey
It would be wonderful to see all families make the effort to attend our Learning Journey on Tuesday 9 September between 4:00pm and 6:00pm at St Helena's Catholic Primary School. Come along and have a look at what is happening in your child/ren's classroom and specialist classes. Come and enjoy the Book Fair set up in the Library, the Art Exhibition in the Music Room, admiring the student's creative visual arts talents. We also have ExACT student's projects in the Kooditj room and our Choir and Liturgical Dance performances on during the afternoon to celebrate the many talents we have at SHCPS.
Peace & Happy Days!
