Captains Corner

Welcome to this weeks edition of the newsletter! This week has been filled with so much great and interesting events hope you enjoy reading!

Athletics Day: On the 26th of July our year 4s-6s participated in our house Athletics. They all did a tremendous job and showed great teamwork and enthusiasm. Everyone did amazing and even if they didn’t win anything they tried their best. I would like to give a special shoutout to Shiv and Minaya from 6B they both amazingly showed their strong commitment and passion towards sports and our school.  Minaya got two 1st places, one 2nd place, and two 4th places! Shiv received four 1st places, Two seconds, and one 3rd. Wow so many incredible accomplishments.

Whole school production: On August 7th, The engagement and attitude of GWPS to this year’s production was impeccable. We all did our best in being confident in our singing and dancing and made the night memorable and a big success. Thank you to the following people: ASPA education, Mr Catalano, Mrs Seach and to the amazing staff. Here are some highlights of the night from the students: 

Thamika 6B & Vinushi 6C- “Our highlight of the night,  was under the stage. Watching all the other classes perform their amazing dances and songs. especially the teacher dance! Even though we had to be silent, it was such a memorable experience for both of us.”

Emilia 6C- “My highlight of the night was definitely being with all of my friends up on that stage looking at all the parents for the last time in primary school. It felt so familiar like I was in prep again and being there was just so magical.”

Minaya 6B- “ After singing and dancing together our songs, our classes were all under the stage looking at our peers’ dances and singing. It was really an unforgettable experience trying to stay quiet, whilst enjoying my school dancing with my favourite people, my class and my friends.”
