Eclipse House News

Term Two continues to provide a bustling and dynamic boarding house. On any given day the kitchen is receiving a workout, there is laughter in the hallways, sporting results being shared and quiet study time. It is an enjoyable space to live and work. In the last few weeks there has been an added focus on academics with exams fast approaching. I congratulate all boys on their commitment and focus to achieving their personal best.

One Community

It was an exciting Week Five in Eclipse with our community celebrating National Boarding Week. With many events planned and celebrated it was a wonderful week to showcase our amazing boarders. Our community thrived and there was a great deal of pride being displayed. Congratulations must go to Steven Wiech and Brianna Cunnigham for their organisation and commitment in making the week enjoyable.

The celebration of boarding produced confident and happy borders. It transcended into each house and the sense of community overflowed. This term we have seen a lot of visitors to Eclipse. We have had Anchorage and Breaksea boarders socialising in the common space with boardgames and shooting hoops on the basketball court. It is a hub of activity and positive space to be a part of. It culminated with our first Eclipse fire pit last Saturday evening.

Celebrations

As our academic and sporting pursuits are well underway, special mention goes to all those receiving positive feedback by coaches and teachers. Kaleb Germain received best on ground for Albany Sharks in his league performance. Michael Watson also received a gameday award. I look forward to celebrating some positive exam results in the coming weeks.

Birthdays

Happy Birthday to Harry Greenup and Kayde Bessell-Browne who both celebrated birthdays this month.

I hope you all enjoy the weekend with family.
