From the Principal

I have been pondering community recently, and what it means to make meaningful connections to promote belonging. Community is something that Good Shepherd has done and continues to do well. And while events support this 'feel' - it is the connections that you as parents and members of the community have, that bring this to life.

As part of that sense of community, it is always worth celebrating the times when we come together to foster those relationships, and I would like to share some appreciation of past and share future opportunities for this connection.

A big thank you and shout out to Dave and the other Dads who planned and put together another successful Dads and Kids event last weekend. Despite the damp under and over foot - many memories and connections were created and maintained.

Thank you for the support that you showed as a community by attending and watching online, the Mark Le Messurier Parent workshop - I found his words insightful, encouraging and practical, both as a parent and an educator.

Thank you to the parents who organise the playground catch ups across the different stage groups of the school - another wonderful opportunity to connect and share life.

I look forward to gathering with Mums and children from Stage 3 next Friday evening around the fire and some board games.

If you are parent or caregiver who is keen to support in the ongoing review and development of these connection opportunities, please reach out via email,  evie.stevens@gspv.sa.edu.au.

I am so proud and honored to be the leader of Good Shepherd, and very humbled when we heard that we had been ranked as one of the top schools in Adelaide. This is not my doing - but the consistent work of our students, teachers, co-educators and school board over the past few years. The ongoing partnership with you as parents and caregivers is also a factor in this space.

Blessings for the coming week.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
