PRIMARY NEWS

We have a full term ahead with many great experiences for our students in the classroom, across the school, on the sporting field and on excursions.
This Thursday is CRAZY SOCK DAY. Students wear socks other than school socks and bring a monetary donation for Catholic Missions.

Tuesday of November 3 is Melbourne Cup Day. Keeping in the spirit of a race day, students may wear a FANCY HAT or cap to school.
We are excited for our final two 2027 Kinder transition sessions coming up! Our Year 6 students will be stepping up to provide wonderful peer support to our current Kindergarten students during these sessions, helping them with their learning activities and building connections. These days offer a fantastic opportunity for our Year 6 students as well - acting as peer mentors allows them to build confidence, practice empathy, and develop valuable leadership and communication skills as they prepare for their own step into high school.
Congratulations to the following students who are Class Representatives for Term 4.
Lily Kourahanis, Braxton Anderson, Landon Sutherland, Charlie McGregor, Annabelle Apthorpe, Roman Donnelly, Josephine Butcher
As warm weather approaches, we encourage all students to wear their school uniform with pride - it reflects our shared values and strong community spirit. With sunny days ahead, please ensure your child brings their school hat every day for outdoor activities, recess, and lunch.
To stay healthy and energised through the end of the term, please send your child with a reusable water bottle to use throughout the day. Our canteen offers a refreshing menu with fresh salads and light, nutrient-rich meals to keep minds active and focused.
We are excited to welcome Camp Quality to our school next Friday! Their visit plays a vital role in building empathy, understanding, and community support around cancer awareness.
During the visit, our K-4 students will experience their interactive primary school cancer education program puppet show alongside a visit from the colourful esCarpade car rally for all students.
The interactive puppet show brings awareness to a complex topic in a gentle, reassuring age appropriate way. It helps dispel common myths and misconceptions (such as reassuring children that cancer isn't contagious) using language students can easily understand. The performance shows students how to be supportive, compassionate friends to classmates or family members who may be navigating a cancer journey. It teaches children how to welcome peers back to school after medical treatment and reduces feelings of isolation or misunderstanding. The esCarpade car rally brings excitement and visible energy to the school, connecting students to a broader network of dedicated community fundraisers working to support families impacted by childhood cancer.
We look forward to a memorable and impactful day!
We have exciting excursions coming up for all of our 3-6 classes. Please ensure that you are abreast of details via Compass as these are updated in the coming weeks. Year 6 travel to Canberra, Year 5 Lake Keepit, Year 4 Inverell and Surrounds and Year 3 travel to Thalgarrah.
Later in the term, Kindergarten students will have the opportunity to tour through the fire truck and have a demonstration of the water hose and siren in action when RFNSW visit us at school. This is guaranteed to be a hit!
It's time to restock! 📚 As the school year progresses, stationary items can naturally get lost or used up. Please check in with your child to see if their personal pencil case needs top-ups on daily essentials like pencils, glue sticks, and dry-erase markers. Having their own supplies ready each day helps ensure your child stays prepared and confident in their learning. Thank you for your continued support!
