Grade 3/4 Camp Woorabinda - Monday 7th December until Wednesday 9th December - Event details on Compass to come out soon. Cost will be $150.00 per student.

What a great time we had at our Polly Woodside excursion! We were so lucky to have had so many parents volunteer - thank you so much. 

In Term 4 we will study the First Fleet from both perspectives, so it was great to visit the ship and see what kind of living conditions people aboard may have had. 

We got to 'scrub the deck' , check out the cargo area, and look at the bedrooms. 

In Writing we have worked hard to create our own versions of the text 'If you give a Mouse a Cookie.' This text is based on complex sentences with dependent and independent clauses. They have turned our really well and we are so proud! 

To finish our measurement unit, we made coloured salt jars. We measured in millilitres and had to make sure our equation would equal 100mLs. 

In the last two weeks we have learnt how to measure and record the perimeter and area of differnet shapes and items. We made enclosures for farm animals and played area games. 

We have also finished our text study 'The Tales of Despereaux.' To show our understanding of the text, students have completed either an alternative ending writing task, or a comic style task showing a major event in pictures. 

We have loved reading a chapter or two a day, and have finished the Term of by watching the movie.
