Gardiner District Basketball

Last Friday, a group of our Year 6 students headed to Waverley Basketball Centre to represent Highvale at the Gardiner District Basketball Round Robin.

Both our boys’ and girls’ teams had a fantastic day, playing a number of games against schools from across the district. It was great to see the students working together, encouraging their teammates and showing great sportspersonship throughout the day.

A huge congratulations to our boys’ team, who had a very successful tournament, finishing 1st in their pool and 4th overall for the day. Well done also to our girls’ team, who continued to work hard across all of their games and finished the day on a high with a great win in their final match!

Congratulations to all of our Year 6 students who represented Highvale:

Boys: Mishkaat Ali, Joshua Christiansz, Aaron Lee, Eelon Lim, Ansh Patel, Aadhi Selvan, James Vat and Gavin Wan.

Girls: Salwa Ali, Ashley Choo, Alicia Chopra, Arabelle Christou, Esther George, Eleni Kizilis, Zoe Lau, Crystal Ly, Kaitlyn Wu and Olivia Yang.

A big thank you to Chris Vat for giving up his time to come along and help coach the boys’ team throughout the day. Your help and support were greatly appreciated!

Well done to everyone involved on a fantastic day of basketball and for representing Highvale so well!
