Woodwork

For Friday Recreation this term, students were given the opportunity to choose Wood Technology as one of their activity options.

Throughout the term, students have learned about workshop safety, how to use tools correctly, and a range of basic woodworking techniques. They have developed their practical skills, confidence and independence while working safely in the workshop.

Students successfully completed their first major project, a wooden toolbox, and will finish the term by designing and making a keepsake box.

All students have done extremely well and should be very proud of what they have achieved. Wood Technology has been a fantastic hands-on subject, giving students the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience while developing their problem-solving, teamwork, safety awareness and woodworking skills.

It has been great to see the students enjoying the workshop and taking pride in the projects they have created.
