Pensioner Education Supplement (PES)

If you are a student enrolled at our school aged 16 years or and receive an eligible Centrelink payment such as the Disability Support Pension, you may be able to receive the Pensioner Education Supplement (PES) to help with the costs of studying.

How much can you receive?

Depending on your study load and individual circumstances, the Pensioner Education Supplement is currently paid at either:

• $62.40 per fortnight, or
• $31.20 per fortnight.

This payment is made in addition to your eligible Centrelink payment and can help with expenses such as transport, stationery, technology, internet access and other study-related costs.

How do I apply?

The easiest way to apply is online through your myGov account linked to Centrelink.

You will need:

• your Centrelink Customer Reference Number (CRN)
• details of your school enrolment and study arrangements
• any supporting documents requested by Services Australia.

You can also apply by phone, in person at a Services Australia service centre, or by completing a paper application form.
