Message from Karlie Gooding

It has been a busy and wonderful time across our school, with many opportunities for our students to learn, perform and celebrate together.

Victorian State Schools Spectacular – This Is Me

We are incredibly proud of the group of students who are set to take part in the 2026 Victorian State Schools Spectacular on Saturday 29th August. They have been rehearsing for many months and will perform onstage at John Cain Arena in front of a huge audience. Their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment is outstanding, and we are super excited to see them represent our school with such pride and talent. Best of luck to Lulah, Colin, Mahaylia, Tegan, Estelle, Bonnie, Riley S, Billy and Jensen! A special congratulations also goes to Ollie B who has taken on the important role of lighting for the production. His technical skills, teamwork and confidence behind the scenes have been a valuable contribution to this spectacular event. 

A big thank you to our teachers Wendy and Rachel, who have made it all possible. We are very proud of our students and the way they have embraced this exciting opportunity. 

Science Week

Our school community has also been getting involved in the fun and excitement of Science Week. Last week, students and staff across the school participated in a range of science activities, challenges and investigations, encouraging curiosity, creativity and a love of learning.

A very big thank you goes to all of our staff for getting involved and helping make Science Week such an enjoyable experience for our students. In particular, we would like to acknowledge and thank Adrian, our incredible science teacher, for his enthusiasm, organisation and commitment in bringing the activities together.

Welcome

We are delighted to welcome Ruth Polgar to our school community as a new teacher to J6 in the Junior Section. We look forward to getting to know Ruth and wish her a very warm welcome as she begins this new chapter with us. 

Book Week – Dress Up Day

The excitement is building for Book Week, and we are looking forward to our Book Week Dress Up Day on Friday 28 August!

We can’t wait to see our students celebrating their favourite books and characters through their creative costumes. A huge thank you to our Student Representative Council (SRC) for organising this special day and helping to create such a fun celebration of reading across our school.

We value the feedback and perspectives of our families and encourage parents, carers and guardians to complete the survey.
