Middle Group News

Our Middle students have continued to develop their knowledge and understanding of different countries and continents in their literacy classes. Each student has been designing their own dream holiday while exploring the diverse cultures, traditions, and customs found around the world. Through this learning, students have developed a greater appreciation for cultural diversity and the unique characteristics that make each destination different. Students have also developed their research and comprehension skills by locating key information, identifying important facts, and discussing what they have discovered with their peers.

Students have applied their literacy skills by creating written descriptions and plans for their dream holidays, using descriptive language and relevant vocabulary to communicate their ideas. They have worked on organising information logically, constructing clear sentences, and communicating their ideas for a specific audience. Through class discussions and presentations, students have also continued to build their confidence in speaking, listening, sharing ideas, and responding to others.

Whilst in numeracy this term, students have been working hard, focusing on time, speed and distance. Students have been developing their skills through practical activities and real-life problem-solving, building their confidence in measuring time, calculating speed and working with distance. 

It has been great to see students engaging with the learning, having a go at new challenges and making progress throughout the term. Well done, everyone!
