2026 Swimming Carnival

The first College community sporting event takes place on Thursday with the Annual College House Swimming Carnival. The carnival is always a highlight on the yearly calendar with a great opportunity for the College to gather in a fun and competitive environment with Houses ready to assert early dominance in 2026.

Students are encouraged to swim to the best of their abilities and are expected to participate in both the 50m Freestyle and 50m Breaststroke participation events as well as the novelty events. For our competition swimmers, Championship events will be held to determine overall Age and School Champions.

The day will culminate in the annual Staff vs Students relay. The Staff are quietly confident going into the race but are up against a strong House Prefect team who will need to be at their best. It could be a race that will be remembered for a long time.

It will be a great day and may the best House win!

ISA Cricket

Congratulations to Jack Allen, Jack Edwards and Hamish Malone who represented the ISA Cricket side vs AAGPS on Sunday. ISA unfortunately lost the game by 21 runs, however all three boys made great contributions throughout the match, highlighted by Jack Edwards 3 wickets. The boys will play again on Sunday, February 22 vs CAS.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Patrick McDonald (Year 10) who has obtained his Surf Life Saving Bronze Medallion. Obtaining this qualification allows Patrick to be an active patrol member and Surf Lifesaver, volunteering his time on weekends to ensure all visitors to the beach are safe.

Well done, Patrick!

Old Boy Spotlight

Congratulations to Alex Conti ('24) who played for the Canterbury Bulldogs in their NRL trial match vs the North Queensland Cowboys. While the Bulldogs lost the trial 30-34, Alex had a strong performance for his first game at this level. We wish Alex all the best for the rest of the year and hope to see him make his official First Grade debut during the 2026 season.

Good luck to Harry and Ben Manenti who will be representing Italy at the 2026 T20 Cricket World Cup in India and Sri Lanka. Both Harry and Ben have been a huge influence on the Italian side to qualify for the World Cup and will look to lead the squad at the tournament. Their campaign kicks off on Monday afternoon against Scotland. The team will also face England, West Indies, and Nepal in the Pool Stages. We wish the Manenti brothers all the best.

A Message from the Head of Rugby:

Alex Conti ('24) NRL Pre Season Challenge

In hot and demanding conditions, Alex Conti delivered a solid performance in the NRL Pre-Season Challenge against the North Queensland Cowboys. Competing against established NRL first-grade players, Alex more than held his own and showed composure well beyond his years.

A highlight of his performance came with a superbly executed cut-out pass that created a fantastic try for his winger.

We are extremely proud of what he accomplished in this match and excited about what lies ahead in his development.
