VCE VM

As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing work-related skills and community engagement, our Year 11 students have been actively involved in a series of workplace visits. These visits are designed to provide students with valuable insight into different industries and careers. Through these hands-on experiences, the students have gained a better understanding of workplace dynamics, professional responsibilities, and the skills needed to thrive in the workforce. These visits have included trips to local businesses such as Turnbull Toyota, Tequa, and local Tafe campus in Sale, Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance. A big thank you to Ms Molly Work and Mr Danny Butcher for their dedication in making these workplace visits a success and for their continued support in preparing our students for the future.
This term, our VCE VM students have been contributing to our local community through the VCE VM volunteer program. This initiative has seen our students collaborate with Diocesan Primary schools, offering support at various school events. By assisting with organising and coordinating of activities, the students have developed important leadership and organisational skills while also fostering positive relationships with younger students. The VCE VM program continues to be an invaluable opportunity for our students to give back to the community, and we are grateful for the enthusiasm and commitment shown by both the students and the participating schools.
In the final week of term, our Year 12 PDS class has begun an inspiring new chapter in their community service efforts by volunteering at Stretton Park. As part of their commitment to supporting the elderly, the students will be spending time with residents, providing companionship, and assisting with daily activities. This initiative is not only giving the students an opportunity to develop their interpersonal skills and empathy but also highlights the importance of intergenerational connections. The Year 12s are off to a wonderful start, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they will continue to have at Stretton Park in the coming months.
