INTERMEDIATE BOYS BASEBALL STATE CHAMPIONS!
Last Thursday, the Intermediate Baseball team played off in the State Finals after an unbeaten run of matches in the Kingston and the Southern Metropolitan Region rounds.
They started the first match with a perfect innings, scoring the maximum 5 runs and preventing the other team from scoring. Winning, 15-6 and then 4-8 in the pool matches, the boys were confident going into the Grand Final.
Some incredible performances and leadership from Tom Hill (Year 9), Oscar McKeown (Year 10) and Harper Slattery (Year 10) throughout the day lead to a perfect finish, winning the Grand Final over Balwyn 13-2.
Well done to the boys, with some of them winning the State Title in year 7, 8 and now year 10.
Very honoured to have coached such a great group of athletes!

INTER GIRLS TENNIS STATE FINALISTS
The Inter Tennis Girls team represented the school proudly at the State Finals last week, showcasing great determination, resilience, and incredible school spirit throughout the day.
Despite coming up against some of the toughest competition in the state, which included many specialised sports academy schools, the girls held their own and put up a strong fight in every match. While they didn’t secure a win on the scoreboard, their effort and commitment were never in question as they put their best foot forward no matter the scoreline.
The team played with passion and sportsmanship, supporting each other through every rally and point. Their energy on and off the court was outstanding, with constant encouragement and positivity that didn’t go unnoticed.
I want to congratulate Stella Thakrar (Year 9), Angel Zhang (Year 10), Ivy Medina (Year 9), An Higuchi (Year 9) and Olivia Takada (Year 9) on all your efforts as it is an amazing achievement to make it to the state finals!
We are incredibly proud of the girls for the way they represented our school. Their attitude, teamwork, and spirit truly reflect what school sport is all about. Well done, team and I hope to see you all back in next year's team!
