School and Community Library Program
This term, we have thoroughly enjoyed visiting our local kindergartens and sharing our love of reading with the children. These visits have provided a wonderful opportunity to build connections with future students and support the development of early literacy skills.
A highlight of the visits has been the involvement of our Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 students, who have done an outstanding job reading stories to the kinder children. They demonstrated kindness, leadership, and enthusiasm as they shared books and engaged with the younger children. It has been wonderful to see the confidence of our senior students grow while creating positive relationships with the kinder children.

Our Friday Playgroup sessions have also been another great success this term, with many families attending our themed sessions. Children have enjoyed a range of engaging developmental activities, creative play experiences, and opportunities to explore our school environment. Families have made use of our library, indoor learning spaces, and outdoor play areas while connecting with other members of our school community.
The sessions have been filled with laughter, learning, exploration, and fun, providing valuable opportunities for children to develop social skills, confidence, and school readiness.
Thank you to all the kindergarten communities and families who have been part of these wonderful experiences this term. We look forward to continuing our kinder visits and welcoming families back to Playgroup for more fun and learning in Term 3!
