We made sheep in religion. We used pom poms to stick on the sheep to make its fluff.  The sheep was for Jesus.

  In swimming we have been catching the train to Sweenies in Altona. We go every Monday and Tuesday and we learn swimming skills. I am in the Blue group. Lately we have been reading a book, The Arrival. It has no words but amazing drawings. It is about a man that has to leave his family and travels to a different country and finds a strange creature in his room then intruders come and invade the country and now he’s looking for jobs in his new country.

We have been making a house that can survive heavy rain and wind. We have also made a poster about our house and about how it will survive. And we did Athletics Day on Friday and I got three 1sts, one 2nd, and two 3rds. My favourite event was Hurdles because first of all I beat everyone by about 5 seconds. Second, I was the only one that finished the race in my heat because someone fell and everyone stopped to help them up including me after I finished my race.

  At school we have been going swimming for about 8 weeks. Two different groups: green and blue. I’m in the blue group. We caught the train to Sweeney’s in Altona. I sit next to my friends on the train. We have been reading a book called The Arrival which is about a man who leaves his family and goes to some strange place and then he finds a strange creature. The Arrival has no words, only pictures.

 At athletics day we came on a bus to the Newport Athletics track. At athletics we did discuss long jump, high jump, shotput, 100m sprint and hurdles. Everyone brought lots of yummy lollies. My favourite event at athletics day is discussion. We have been doing a project. We had to make a house and it had to survive rain and wind. We also had to make a poster about the seven day forecast for every week. We also had to write something cool about our house.

At school we have been learning about poems, some poems are called acrostic poems and also rhyming poems. Soon we will do an activity where we luckily dip a random colour swatch from bunnings, and whatever colour you get you write a poem about that colour. ( or what colour the vibe gives! ) It's pretty cool and I'm excited to do it, it sounds really fun and interesting!!. I think my poems are really creative.

We are doing a short unit on poetry where we write haiku metaphors, similes, acrostic and rhyming using A B A B. We are also doing a special activity where Miss Jess goes to Bunnings Warehouse and she gets all of us a random colour pallet like midnight blue or sunny beach yellow and we write about it. The reason we are doing poetry is because we read a book that had lots of poems called Free Diving.

In class we have been learning about Natural Disasters, such as Volcanoes, Tsunamis, Tornadoes, and more. I chose Tornadoes, so I had to make a slideshow and a diorama. For my diorama I used lots of cotton wool for the tornado, and some cardboard for the broken house. I also used multiple colours of paper, and some dirt and leaves.

We are doing a 8 week project for homework.It is about Natural Disasters we made a slideshow and a diorama.We all choose a a natural disaster I did a Tsunami.In my diorama I used paper for the houses and one of them is sideways because the tsunami pushed it.I used toilet rolls as the trees and put leaves inside their were legos as the people and made the Tsunami using cotton and painted blue. Most of the people did Volcanos

Italian ¾ Anais, Alice and  Raph G 

In italian we have been learning maths, number sentences and symbols. We have also been learning numbers 1 to 50. And we did a test and I went up to 100.

Lately we have been learning Italian Maths. We have been learning Italian maths sentences and symbols such as più+

Meno-  fa= and sentences like La somma di  due piú venti fa ventidue 2+20=22 We also have been learning numbers 1-50 and sometimes even higher.

In italian we have been learning about maths in italian and counting in italian to 50. And  doing equations  and how to write math symbols in italian.And giving each other equations to answer .And learning to drop the vowel if it ends in 8 or 1 and we did a test.

There was different coloured paper and my group got lunch boxes and we needed to talk about how the crayons quit. We would need to tell Miss Mathewson different objects and she would write on the paper our ideas and give us one of the papers and split us into our groups. And I got lunchboxes for my group. And we said how they would feel about how we treated them. So one of them swung them around spilling our food everywhere and we also did about pencils. People would peel off the wrapping and sometimes snap them. Textas, people push too hard and then they stop working and some people leave the lids off. And with glue sticks, people don’t wind them down and put the lid on and some people just put the lid on. People wind them up too much and then the lids fall off because of that. And people sometimes stuff things on the glue stick.

We have been learning about the day the crayons quit. My favorite crayon is blue crayon because he is so stubby. For this we have been doing activities like making our own sentence about the green crayon. 

 

I am talking about the blue crayon.

Dear Duncan, It’s me blue crayon. I have gotten so skinny since you last used me your  stubborn crayon blue crayon.

Sit sports because people pull on them and miss mathewson says stop and if they sent a letter that would say stop. Also they don’t like benning farted on.Chairs because people swing on them and block it. Tables with the tubs underneath people bang them with their knees and it gets bumpy. Penice pots there so tired of carrying all the pencils and there are tired of getting double ups of the same colour.White bord marker  people use them when there are not supposed to so they dry out and when they have finished they don ‘t put the lids on so the dry out and people lose them so they can’t be used.

We are doing an activity in our Language & Literature books - we are writing about The Day The Crayons Quit. I am writing about the Naked Crayon. He is my favourite crayon because he is peach coloured and it's silly that he is naked. In this task I am writing a letter in the Naked crayon’s POV to the owner, Duncan.
